 BLOWER
HOUSE
–The role of Blower House in Blast Furnace is to generate
cold blast through high speed blowers . In our case the
blower house consists of 6nos .high pressure fans working
in series (5 working and 1 standby). The blowers are state
of art designed equipped with backward curved aerofoil
impellers and 450kw ,2pole , 3.3kva,2980rpm,HT motors .The
blowers are capable of delivering 40,000 Nm3/ur at
1.5kg/cm2 pressure. |
CAST
HOUSE : The cast house is provided next to blust
furnace at taphole level It is equipped with metal and
slag runners, drill machine and mudgun to ensure safe and
easy evacuation of hot metal and slag .The three metal
branch runners for metal can ensure 75t hot metal
evacuation in one go . The slag is skimmed and sent for
granulation wide slag runner.
STOVES
: High efficiency fully automatic & computerized
controlled Stoves are used for heating of cold blast
having temperature range of 900-1050 degrees C is blown
inside the blast furnace to get the required pig iron
grade and production.
