 Adhunik
Group of Industries is a renowned name in steel with
units in the Eastern Region in the states of Orissa,
Jharkhand, West Bengal & Meghalaya. Now it is venturing
into power generation in the name of Adhunik Thermal
Energy Ltd. and MOU has already been signed with the Govt.
of Jharkhand for setting up a 1000 MW super thermal power
plant in the state of Jharkhand. For the purpose of
implementation of the project, applications for the coal
blocks and allocation of water have been filed with Govt.
of India & Govt. of Jharkhand respectively and are being
processed by the respective Govt. departments.
In the meanwhile the
company has decided for installation of two units of 135
MW each at Kandra in the District of Saraikela Kharsawan.
The foundation stone of the same was laid by the Honorable
Chief Minister of Jharkhand on 15th
Feb.2007.After meeting the obligation of supply of power
to Jharkhand Govt. as per MOU, the rest of the power will
be supplied to consumers in the states of Northern Region
directly in association with PTC India Ltd. in view of
Electricity Act -2003 which has permitted open access
customer to receive supply of electricity from a person
other than distribution licensee.
ATEL will be supplying
power to the consumers already connected to the grid and
also to the consumers those are getting their requirement
from diesel generation by offering them cheap and reliable
power. Even new upcoming consumers will be suitably
advised about Power Solutions that will help them to get
cheap and reliable power supply.
